A TRIBUTE TO THE COLLECTOR

Each Excalibur sale is thoughtfully presented to honor what was collected and connect it with the people still searching for it.

A DEALER’S EYE. A CURATOR’S APPROACH

Excalibur specializes in estate sales and private collections, with an emphasis on antiques, vintage clothing, Americana, militaria, design, and unusual objects.

We bring years of experience buying and selling to the process, with careful identification, informed pricing, thoughtful presentation, and an understanding of the collector market.

MORE THAN A HOUSE FULL OF THINGS.

Excalibur was founded on the belief that an estate is more than a house full of things.

Collections are built over lifetimes. We approach them with the eye of a dealer, the care of a curator, and an understanding of the collectors who are still searching for what has been left behind.

Through thoughtful presentation, informed pricing, and targeted marketing, we create estate sales that respect what was collected while putting exceptional pieces in front of the people who understand them.

Ryan SHamblin

Founder

Excalibur is led by Ryan Shamblin, a lifelong buyer, seller, and dealer of antiques and vintage goods.

His work has centered on sourcing and selling everything from everyday Americana to vintage clothing and militaria, working with private collectors, retail stores, and estates across the United States and internationally. His reputation and network have brought buyers from as far as Japan to Richmond to purchase directly from him. He is also the owner of Rexco, an independent vintage clothing store in Richmond, Virginia.

A major part of his approach is presentation. Thoughtful design, considered layout, and marketing that does justice to both the objects and the people who collected them.

That experience forms the foundation of Excalibur: a trained eye for overlooked objects, an understanding of the collector market, and an established network capable of putting exceptional pieces in front of the right buyers.

Harley Faria

Sales & operations manager

Harley grew up in and around the vintage and antiques business, developing an eye for quality and unusual things from an early age. He has a natural instinct for finding and appreciating well-made objects.

At Excalibur, Harley works across sales and operations, helping evaluate estates, prepare sales, and keep things moving behind the scenes.

MORE THAN THINGS

An estate is personal. The objects left behind can represent decades of work, interests, memories, and the people who built a life around them.

As a husband and father, Ryan understands that these decisions often come during important transitions for a family. Excalibur approaches that responsibility with care, while bringing the experience needed to understand what is being sold and where it belongs.

We believe a successful estate sale should do more than empty a house. It should respect what was built, serve the family well, and give meaningful objects the opportunity to continue their story with someone new.
